Translating in the browser needs a Lore Forever account, so your work is saved and credited to you. It takes a minute with your Google account.
Try your edits in game
- The test pack holds the edits you've saved in this language that aren't in a language update yet, so you can see them in game right away.
- Unzip it into
Interface\AddOns, next to LoreForever, then type/reloadin game so the game finds it (no restart needed). - In Lore Forever's Options, pick your language (Automatic works if your game is in that language).
- After more edits, download it again, unzip it over the old folder and type
/reload. - Lines whose English changed since you saved them are left out. Once your edits are in a language update,
you can delete the
LoreForever_LangTestfolder.
How it works
- Needs work lists what still needs a person, most-read first: lines with no translation, drafts nobody has checked, lines players reported, and lines whose English changed.
- Type your language in the box under each English line. It saves by itself when you pause or move on.
- A draft that already reads right? Press Looks right on the line, or on the whole entry.
- Keep codes like
%sand|cff00ff00 ... |rwhere the English has them. Keywords and search phrases are lists: separate the items with|. - Names of places, people and quests should match what your game client calls them.
- What you save goes into your language's next update. Clear a box to take your edit back before then.
